My beautiful friends, the Heaths, wanted to hold onto the days before their second baby girl arrived into the world. So we spent a beautiful afternoon at Palm Beach capturing these candid, special memories.
The Gomes' were the sweetest little family to shoot! There was nothing but smiles and laughter throughout this session! It was so last minute (literally, we organised it in a day!) but it turned out perfectly. The most important thing I tell my families when preparing for a session is to show up ready to love on each other like there is no tomorrow! And these three certainly did that :)
A few months ago I had the pleasure of spending a few nights away with some absolutely wonderful creative ladies in Mudgee, for Oh Flora Getaway. Tanya of Oh Flora Flowers organised for us to stay at Trelawny Farm, the most picturesque little homestead on the outskirts of Mudgee, NSW. We were also lucky enough to spend a day at the Mudgee Made Roses Farm where we picked and arranged roses at our leisure, wandered though the most beautiful garden, and ate the most delicious food put on by Mudgee Made. We ended our stay with a wonderful meal at a stunning table, styled by Maison Meadow. It was all pure heaven and I wish we could do it again!
I was so happy to have my Contax there with me to capture it all on film! I'll be blogging all about it over at my film photography journal soon, as I learned so many new lessons on this trip which I cant wait to share! I'll tell you what, its started a definite love affair with flowers on film!
I'm so grateful for those few days, for new friendships formed and for the opportunity to connect with like-minded creatives. It was just what I needed, and I came home so refreshed from an absolutely beautiful few days. It gave me a lot of perspective on how to grow my business and incorporate more variety into my work and what I offer. It has inspired me to offer content creation sessions for artists, creatives and beautiful brands on film which I'm so excited about! There is so much beauty in documenting an artistic process and I'm always drawn to these types of images myself. I've been taking steps behind the scenes ever since and can't wait to begin this new path for Kylie Mills Photography very soon!
